The Entrer Dans Small Business Incubator Project was designed by Adult & Children Enterprises, Inc. Executive Director Jewel Morgan, a certified entrepreneurship teacher, to address unmet entrepreneurship educational services and technology training needs.
There are other virtual business programs like the Pacesetters for example that offer services to small business owners who have been in business for two years or more; however, there was no comprehensive programming, in the Wake county area that included:
for start-ups and individuals who had been in business for less than two years.
The course work is delivered in user-friendly, multimodial learning modules, is appropriate for adult learners, and covers a range of topics relating to small business ownership such as financial statements, human resource development, marketing, and the art of customer service. The education received is applicable to all types of businesses.
Students are required to submit a Pre-business assessment at the beginning of the course. Following six months of face-to-face classroom instruction and interactive workshops students have a chance to practice the skills they have acquired in an guided incubator environment. It is expected that students will meet all learning objectives of the course and graduate with a completed business plan. The final phase of training involves one year of technical assistance.
The cost for the entire course is $500.00. Payment arrangement are available on a case-by-case basis. There is a nonrefundable registration fee due at the time the application is submitted.
You may pay on line using Paypal, credit or debt card. Applications may be mailed in or brought into the office located at 900 South Wilmington Street, Ste 114. Classes are held at the Raleigh Business & Technology Center. To pay online
